ActZero Noji Interview (2021)
우리는 기후 비상사태에 대응하는 하이브리드 작업을 발표합니다. 액트제로는 경험과 아이디어를 온라인과 오프라인에서 공유하고 현실 세계에서 탄소중립 활동을 촉구하는 시도입니다. 우리 모두 기후 변화에 대응하기 위해 연대하고, 또 탄소중립을 향한 기후 행동의 시작인 #액트제로를 같이 탐구하고 영감을 얻을 수 있기를 바랍니다.
– 방앤리
한국의 아티스트 듀오 방앤리가 제시하는 액트제로는 전 세계 시민들이 함께 행동하여 일상생활에서 탄소중립을 달성하는 것에 도전합니다.
방앤리는 제주도 서귀포에서 지속 가능한 재료, 친환경 에너지, 지역의 생태문화, 그리고 궁극적으로 자연으로의 회귀에 초점을 둔 일련의 창의적인 탄소중립 예술 활동과 실천을 시작했습니다. 기후행동의 제0막(서곡)으로써, 액트제로 노지는 참여와 지지를 끌어내기 위한 활동을 온•오프라인으로 확대해 이어오고 있습니다. 노지는 벽과 지붕이 없는 곳을 뜻하며, 아직 훼손되지 않은 자연 그대로의 모습이 남아 있는 곳입니다. 해수면 상승과 해양 생태계 변화 등 기후변화에 민감한 상징적인 장소에서 작가 자신의 수행을 바탕으로 한 행위와 사라지는 작품은 기록으로 남아 언어 없는 목소리로 울려 퍼집니다.
We present hybrid works in response to the climate emergency. ActZero share experiences and ideas online and offline, to provoke net-zero acts within the real world. We invite you to explore and be inspired to #ActZero, the beginning of the climate action towards net-zero to tackle climate change.
– Bang & Lee
ActZero is a concept formed by South Korean artists Bang & Lee, that challenges citizens worldwide, to act together with them to achieve net-zero in their daily lives.
Bang & Lee undertook a series of creative net-zero acts on Jeju Island in South Korea, focussed on sustainable materials, renewable energy, local biodiversity, and ultimately a return to nature. Act 0 (A Prelude) for the artists is ActZero Noji, the first act that extends an open invitation to others to get involved in climate action in the online and offline world. Noji refers to the bare ground with untouched nature in Jeju Island, a location that has already seen a sea-level rise and marine ecosystem changes caused by climate change. The performative installation as process art for Noji will resonate with a voice without language.
